About Me
Hello! I'm Kanishk, an Electronics-ICT Engineering student at KU Leuven based in Belgium who thrives at the intersection of
engineering, innovation, and data-driven decision making. I am deeply passionate about building intelligent systems and user-centric applications that not only solve real-world problems but are also scalable and impactful.
My technical journey began with C programming, which helped me develop a strong logical foundation. Over time, I expanded my skill set to include
Python for data science and AI, Java for application development, SQL for database management, and full-stack technologies like
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design interactive web applications.
I love working on projects that challenge my creativity and logical thinking β whether itβs an AI system for fall detection, a Python-based database management interface, or a personal website like this one.
My strengths lie in clear communication, fast learning, and a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork. My goal is to continue evolving as a technologist and eventually contribute as a dynamic leader in tech-driven industries.
Projects
π‘οΈ Smart Airbag Helmet (IoT + AI)
Designed and developed a safety-focused wearable system to detect falls and activate an airbag for accident prevention. The helmet integrates an MPU6050 sensor with Raspberry Pi and a machine learning model trained to verify fall scenarios using accelerometer and audio data. It sends emergency alerts via email and GPS coordinates to designated contacts. The project combines my understanding of electronics, sensor interfacing, real-time data processing, and cloud-integrated emergency response systems. I developed an airbag safety system app that integrates with sensors to detect falls and send emergency alerts, ensuring user safety in critical situations. The app features user registration, emergency contact setup, and real-time notifications, with a focus on seamless functionality and high-end user experience.
π Customer Churn Prediction (ML Project)
Built a predictive analytics model using Python, Pandas, and Scikit-learn to identify customers likely to leave a telecom service provider. The dataset was cleaned, analyzed, and engineered to enhance feature quality. Multiple classification models were tested, with the Random Forest Classifier achieving the highest accuracy (~92%). This project improved my understanding of customer lifecycle, data visualization, model evaluation, and precision-based targeting.
π Personal Portfolio Website
A responsive and animated personal website built using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript with Typed.js to dynamically display professional titles. The site highlights my experience, projects, skills, and contact details. The layout is optimized for both desktop and mobile views. This project helped me learn frontend web design, responsive UI principles, and how to visually represent a personal brand.
πΌ AQUAVANQ Payroll Management System
Developed as a Python SQL project for AISSCE 2023, this payroll system utilized Python and MySQL to manage employee records, compute salaries, and generate reports. I played the dual role of system architect and lead programmer, ensuring clean code design and logical flow across modules. The UI was built using Tkinter, and the backend operations were handled through SQL commands integrated via Python connectors.
𧳠Alpha Tours & Travels Management System
A Python-based management application that allows users to book, manage, and track travel arrangements. This was one of my earliest team projects where I worked as the Lead Programmer. I gained hands-on experience in file handling, exception management, modular code writing, and team communication. The system featured structured menus, form validation, and data persistence using local files.
